Night Sky

Last night Daniel took these incredible photos of the night sky. (The huge bright starburst is actually the super-bright crescent moon.) We saw Orion, Taurus. The Pleiades, and many other constellations. 

The night sky looked so brilliant, it was almost unreal.

The Workspace

I shared a visual tour of my workspace/studio on Birch & Bees today! (It was a huge photoshoot! I had trouble picking the best shots to share.) This is the space where I develop all of my ideas, make paintings, create tutorials, and everything else I do.

HELLO JULY

This month is going to be very, very busy. I'm going to be rolling out the first edition of watercolor and ink paintings in my shop! I have a couple commissions to finish up, and then I'm starting work on some projects to update my Portfolio with. Speaking of which, I'm also in the midst of designing a new portfolio user interface.

Also, I'm finally starting to develop my workshop, do a "style" photoshoot, and send out interview requests. On top of all of that, I want to get back into regular posting on the blog.
Woo! It's a full, jam-packed month. But I'm looking forward to a challenge.

Lights

A couple nights ago, Daniel started playing around with the camera out side and capturing "ghostly" images, and streaking lights. There were a lot of wonderful shots, but I happen to love these four frames in particular. They are so beautiful and eerie. 

Hello June

Hello June. Hello iced coffees and working every day. Hello to open windows, summer thunderstorms, and rainy days. Hello unbearable humidity and light cotton dresses. Hello to patience and learning when to let go. And hello to seeing life through the lens again.

A Sunrise Photoshoot

This morning Daniel and I went to play with our dogs up on the hill by our home. I decided to have a little photoshoot as the sun was rising above the horizon. This photoshoot was a blast. I can't wait to do even more of these in the future.

I'm playing around with new design elements for series/columns on this blog. I'm loving the handwritten script on photos. It's such a nice, subtle touch.
